Photography Policy/Permit Fee/Guidelines for our Farm

Update: Our farm is now closed for the year completely to the public until Fall 2021

No appointments or reservations will be made.

We appreciate that you find our farm to be a pleasing backdrop for photos and since we receive many requests for photo shoots at our farm we may grant these requests provided you respect our rules.

Photographs are a wonderful way to remember your visit to our farm. We encourage visitors to take pictures of their visit for their own personal use but if you are coming to our farm for the purpose of taking posed photos of people, then you will need a photo permit.

Guidelines for our farm are intended for all our guests, but a permit is necessary for those who wish to use Echo Hill Orchards as a backdrop for posed photography. This would include engagement, wedding ceremonies, family, maternity, graduation, senior photos, modeling portfolio, or the like.  It is not relevant if the photographer is a professional or not.  We are not allowing / booking large private gatherings or wedding ceremonies at this time.

We are not allowing group sizes over government mandated numbers.

All photographers must be granted a permit for each session.

Permits are non refundable but can be cancelled or rescheduled due to inclement weather.

No drone photography is permitted.

No videography is permitted.

All farm/orchard rules apply when you and your clients are on our property.

Photographers are responsible for familiarizing themselves, and informing clients of permit / orchard farm rules.

All photographers are required to sign the permit upon arrival stating they agree to all rules and guidelines of the farm and permit at Echo Hill Orchards.

We are a true working farm and restrict access to only areas that are open for Pick Your Own. Therefore, photo sessions are permitted only in areas that are open to the public on that particular day and during regular business hours of our farm operation and at our discretion.

Please be aware you may be sharing space with customers and staff of Echo Hill Orchards, please be respectful to our staff and customers and of our customer’s experience on our farm.

No solicitation of our customers is allowed.

Fields, trees, bushes etc., must be treated with respect.

Do not walk on plants or climb, hang on, or shake trees.-Be aware there are no changing rooms inside or on premises and restrooms are the porta potties outdoors.

You must pay for any fruit, or flowers you pick, including entry cost to farm/orchard.

If you are going to pick any fruit you must first pay for the proper container ahead of entering the farm.

Photographer’s clients are also expected to pay the entry fee and/or purchase the PYO container(s) ahead of entering the farm/orchard if they are going to be picking fruit.

Photography permits are for outside photography only and only in designated areas where Pick Your Own is allowed for that particular day.

Photography sessions are not allowed inside the building. This includes winery, gift shop and store areas.

Pets must not be part of photo sessions. For health & safety reasons, any and all pets regardless of the size and  breed are not allowed on our property.
